Bio- Sage Marie

                         Bio!

Using Vance Joy as her inspiration, she is bringing the ukulele back into fashion (was it ever out?) With her melodic tone and down to earth songwriting about real life teen issues.

The upcoming teen Indie acoustic artist from Melbourne, Australia has always loved to sing and during the Covid lockdown picked up a ukulele and taught herself how to strum a few chords.

‘The Melbourne lockdowns really affected my mental health’

HOW IT ALL STARTED!
Being a 16 year old who was home alone for months on end, her mum
took her to DJ City for
a cheap mic and she bought a ukulele online from JB Hi Fi with a voucher she had received for adding her own lyrics to a musical composition run by the local council.

Kickstarting her songwriting Sage Marie was chosen to perform live in the Ignite Entertainment online concert showcasing the young talent of the City of Casey on Facebook with the talented Ben Trillado in September 2021.
